"There are a but a few artists today who have dedicated their professional careers to recording the proud and noble faces of people often forgotten in the descriptions associated with contemporary artistic portrayals. Candioti has long been fascinated with this beauty and the dignity of the diverse peoples of the Americas, and her travels throughout North and South America, and the Caribbean Islands, have given her the means to understand their physical appearance, as well as the opportunity to gain a personal perspective on their livelihood. Her profound appreciation for people, their gestures, expressions and traditions, is ever present in her work …” Carol Damian - Director of the Visual Arts Department at Florida International University - US
Contemporary Argentine Artist, her task is geared towards capturing the reality and way of life of different communities all over the world. She approaches her pictorial work through Series which bring together the concepts of Art and Testimony contributing, in this way, with all those who strive to recuperate the Legacy and Cultural Roots of these peoples...in order to accomplish this, she has lived and shared the daily routines of different ethnic groups to be able to truly understand their way of life, thus trying to convey through her paintings, a reality we know so little about and which is so often inaccurately portrayed by the media.... In this way she puts together two passions: painting and her commitment to preserving indigenous peoples and their cultures...Hopefully these works will show the world that these communities are very much alive and struggling to remain so, trying to maintain their traditions as well as the rights to the lands where they have always lived and worked...
"Candioti’s undaunted will and sense of purpose place her amongst the group of artists from whom we can expect a contribution to the art of painting in universal terms. “ Rafael Squirru, art crtic.
"As a representative of an artistic trend that follows the tradition of social realism, initiated in Argentina by the painter Antonio Berni, her work inevitably projects itself within the international field. From the point of view of research, Candioti is absolutely conscious of the commitment but she is an artist within the trend of social realism who undertakes her creative activity by engaging in her painting with responsible didactic and social awareness...." "In her works she tries to move, not to please. The fact that as an artist, she dares to be herself in the face of such tasteless, "light“ art, ignoring the current trends and its related benefits, is admirable in itself and emphasizes a great independence of attitude which is a prerequisite when art is assumed with dignity.." Domingo Sahda.
